OFFICIALS The sport of competitive swimming requires a large number of officials (generally volunteers) to conduct a race meet. This can vary from 60+ officials for a major race meet down to about 25 for a meet conducted for one swimming club. The Hobart Aquatic Club regularly conducts its own race meets for its members. Commencing as a volunteer official at Cub level can be the commencement of a pathway to act at State or National Championships. If the idea of acting as an official in order to give our children an opportunity to compete in swimming races appeals to you then please contact us. VOLUNTEERS Volunteers play a vital role in the operation of The Hobart Aquatic Club. Managing the activities of a large swimming Club requires many people to act in a volunteer capacity to ensure the day to day functioning of the Club. Volunteers help with social functions, fundraising activities, organising squad activities, booking and travelling with teams intra and interstate. Officials and volunteers are an integral part of our Club and we are always looking for enthusiastic people to help and make the most progressive and strongest Club in the State even better.
